The head of the departmental department at the Italian Embassy in Russia, Nikolo Fontana, noted that in 2015 the country's resorts were not fabulously popular among Russians. But after the most popular resorts of Egypt and Turkey among our compatriots were under a temporary "taboo", the Italian side considered the prospect of increasing tourist traffic and is already preparing a number of interesting proposals that may well return Italy to its former popularity already this resort season.

To attract new tourists, Italian operators, according to Nicolo Fontana, are ready to use all available methods. And for those Russians who have already thought about purchasing a ticket to the Apennines, the representative advises to visit the embassy's portal, which from now on will be posted up-to-date advertising. They also plan to promote tours to Italy through social networks, print media, and Israel's advertising policy will be taken as a model.
Another innovation, which the Italian officials decided to activate, will be the opening of an additional center for issuing visas. All residents and guests of the capital in the near future will be able to appreciate the benefits of a comfortable office, as well as use the services of paperwork on the most favorable terms.
