Airport history

The project for this structure was proposed by Paul Andreu, and after his approval in 1966, construction began, which lasted eight years. The opening took place on March 8, 1974. At first, the name “Paris Airport North” was proposed, but shortly before the opening, the decision changed, and since then this air hub bears the name of Charles de Gaulle, a politician revered by the French. The Roissy word in the title indicates its location in the given municipality.
